FAQ

What is the purpose of QD-068 and QD-072 delay on make timer relays?

They create an adjustable time delay before compressors receive power after power restoration, stopping short cycling that burns out compressor motors and extending refrigeration equipment service life. Same parameter,For QD-072,its time of delay start is intelligent.

Can this timer relay work with both 110V and 220V power supplies worldwide?

Yes, it supports 19–288V AC/DC input and 50/60Hz frequency, compatible with all residential and commercial power voltages globally.

How long can I adjust the startup delay time on QD-068 / QD-072?

The built-in red rotary knob offers continuous adjustment from 0.03 minutes up to 10 minutes to fit different compressor startup requirements.

Is this timer able to handle high compressor startup current surges?

Yes, it withstands up to 15A inrush surge current with a continuous 1.5A maximum output rating, safely managing compressor power spikes during startup.

Are QD-068 and QD-072 interchangeable for most AC and fridge compressors?

The two models share identical core electrical parameters and physical dimensions; they only differ in internal calibration to match different cooling load sizes and can be swapped for most standard HVAC refrigeration equipment.

What`s difference between delay on make timer QD-068 and QD-072?

Same parameter,For QD-072,its time of delay start is intelligent

Who supplies reliable QD-068 and QD-072 delay on make timer relays for HVAC & refrigeration systems?

How to install it?

Installation
1.Disconnect power.
2.Connect terminals in series with the starting device as shown in the wiring diagram below.
3.For 24 VAC circuits to apply control. For 120/240 VAC circuits, cut the middle jumper wire.
4. Select the desired time to delay.
5.Re-start power, check operation.
6. Start current bypass resistor. T1 to T3 <1K ohm.

Mode of Operation
When power is applied to the input, the time delay begins. After the time delay is complete, the load energizes and remains energized as long as power is applied. The control is reset by removing power during or after the time delay period.
The QD-068 provides thermostat interruption protection, even in the presence of a trickle current.

Important Warning

If the operating voltage exceeds 110V, the middle wire must be cut; otherwise, the product will burn out.
