Process for roll bond evaporator: preparing materials – Plates inputting – Washing & cleaning -Brushing – Plates Overlapping-Heating,including hot rolling and cold rolling – annealing – inflating/blowing up -Shearing/pressing/punching – folding and sharpening -adding the capillary – assemble welding – leakage testing -cleaning and drying – coating – inspection – packing.

Max.Dimension for roll bond evaporator: Different dimensions could be produced after agreement with our technical dep. Usually, max. length=1800mm and max.width=860mm.

Surface treatment for roll bond evaporator: No treatment or Powder coating;White or Black;Oxidizing.

Fabrication and Heat Treatment Hardening

Aluminium / Aluminum 1060 alloy can be hardened only from cold working. Tempers H18, H16, H14 and H12 are determined based on the amount of cold working imparted to this alloy.

Annealing

Aluminium / Aluminum 1060 alloy can be annealed at 343°C (650°F) and then cooled in air.

Cold Working

Aluminium / Aluminum 1060 has excellent cold working characteristics and conventional methods are used to readily cold work this alloy.

Welding

Standard commercial methods can be used for Aluminium / Aluminum 1060 alloy. The filter rod used in this welding process whenever needed should be of AL 1060. Good results can be obtained from the resistance welding process performed on this alloy through trial and error experimentation.

Forging

Aluminium / Aluminum 1060 alloy can be forged between 510 to 371°C (950 to 700°F).

Forming

Aluminium / Aluminum 1060 alloy can be formed in an excellent manner by hot or cold working with commercial techniques.

Machinability

Aluminium / Aluminum 1060 alloy is rated with fair to poor machinability, especially in the soft temper conditions. The machinability is much improved in the harder (cold worked) tempers. Usage of lubricants and either high-speed steel tooling or carbide are recommended for this alloy. Some of the cutting for this alloy can also be done dry.

Heat Treatment

Aluminium / Aluminum 1060 alloy does not harden by heat treatment and it can be annealed after the cold working process.

Hot Working

Aluminium / Aluminum 1060 alloy can be hot worked between 482 and 260°C (900 and 500°F).

Applications

Aluminium / Aluminum 1060 alloy is widely used in the manufacture of railroad tank cars and chemical equipment.

  3. I am working on a project design and need a flat (one side has to be flat on one side) evaporator that can carry fluid and is in a size approximately
    77 inches by 39 inches (plus or minus a few inches isn’t important so if you can make them in say 76 x 38 or something else close that would be fine. However, please let me know your possible dimensions for production).

    Cost is important so if there are several different products (e.g. roll versus single side flat) please give me both price quotes and sizes.

    I would also like to know if I can get a few evaporator panels for design work and then what the costs would be for a larger order of panels.

    My name is Andrew and I work in San Antonio, TX, USA. We have been looking into the roll-bonded evaporators for one of our products and would like to know what kind of refrigerants may be used with this evaporator. We currently run R404 refrigerant in our products. Can your roll bond evaporators run R404? What kind of pressures can these evaporators handle?

    I am currently developing a prototype and I am in need of a custom fit roll bond evaporator. Initially we would only want one but in the future we are predicting we may need up to 500 made when we begin production. The quanity is just an estimate and may be more or less depending on demand. The internal curvature shall be at a radius of 6.386 inches and arc length of 18.054 inches. The height shall be 22 inches. The refrigerant being used will be R-134A.
    I would appreciate any help with this.
